ASUS is expected to expand its Vivo portfolio by launching a new Windows 8 powered laptop, VivoBook X102BA. The laptop has not made any official appearance yet but the folks at Sweclockers managed to get their hands on the press shot of VivoBook X102BA along with its specifications.


The laptop is not something we can class as high-end but still provides users with a decent set of specifications. The laptop is expected to feature a 1.0GHz, dual-core AMD A4-1200 CPU with
Radeon HD 8180 for graphics. The PC boasts a 10-inch display, 2GB RAM, and a 320GB hard drive, with a 500GB option available as well. The 320GB model is bundled with 2GB of RAM while the 500GB model is expected to come with 4GB RAM. On the connectivity side, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0, on Ethernet port, 2 USB 2.0 slots and one USB 3.0 slot, alongside HDMI output for high definition videos.
Interestingly, it has been revealed that ASUS will ship the laptop pre-installed with Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013.
Rumors have it that the laptop will be available in September with a price tag of €330 or $440. This is something not that expensive considering that the fact that the laptop is targeting the student class.
